Welcome

The Lemonade Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, established for the sole purpose of raising awareness and funding for research toward a cure for Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes.

The Lemonade Foundation was founded in 2006, after a father who had been living with Type 1 Diabetes for eight years was suddenly faced with the realities of two of his three children being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes within a single month. Today, The Lemonade Foundation has grown with the support of friends and family that are united in a quest for a cure.

At present, there is no cure for Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Living with this disease results in a lifetime of challenges. With proper medical support and meticulous management, ideal blood sugars are sometimes attainable. However, without insulin and a dedicated commitment to self care, diabetics are faced with dire complications such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness, loss of limbs and an early death.

It is the foundations belief, that "When life hands you lemons...make lemonade". With this as our motivation we will work tirelessly to raise awareness and funding to support the many doctors, scientists and researchers around the world who are committed to finding a cure for Type 1Juvenile Diabetes.

We welcome your support.
